Import Limit
The Import Limit feature is your primary tool for limiting the charging load and helping to prevent high-demand charges. It allows you to specify the maximum total power that your system can draw from the grid.
How it works
- Sets a limit on battery charging: You define a maximum total power import for the system (e.g., 7000W).
- Dynamically adjusts to consumption: The system continuously monitors your home's other large consumers (oven, EV, sauna, etc.).
- Prioritises home consumption: The system automatically reduces or stops battery charging power to ensure the total power import stays at or below your set limit.
- Stops charge when necessary: If your home consumption alone exceeds the limit, the battery charge will stop completely.
Example (with a 7000W limit)
- Zero home consumption: Battery charges at the full 7000W limit.
- Home consumption below 7000W. Example: the oven is turned on (1500W of consumption). Battery charge is automatically reduced to 5500W (7000W - 1500W).
- Home consumption above 7000W. Example: EV started charging (9000W). Battery charge is reduced to 0W to try and keep the overall import at or near your limit.
The Import Limit setting is available within the Settings menu.
Important Note.
Import Limit alone does not influence the AI planner's battery charging schedule. This is instead managed by the Charge Up Scheduler, detailed below.
You can read more about the Import Limit here.
Charge Up Scheduler
The Charge Up Scheduler works alongside the Import Limit to ensure your battery only charges when tariffs are low. This solution gives you the possibility to schedule when the AI planner is allowed to initiate a charge-up.
You can configure the Charge Up Scheduler from the Settings tab by pressing "Edit schedule".

How it works
- Schedule 'No-Charge' times: You specify weekly periods when you want to prevent the AI planner from activating a battery charge.
- Block high-tariff periods: You can use this feature to block all high-tariff periods.
- Weekly accuracy: The schedule works on a weekly basis and can be configured with 15-minute accuracy.
User Interface Notes
- Marking times: You can mark the times to negate charge-up by clicking or clicking and dragging to create a larger timeslot for a single day. The disabled state will appear in red.
- Removing blocks: You can remove a disabled (red) state by following the same logic when clicking on the red area.

The Power of Combination
By combining these two features, you can effectively manage your grid usage and significantly lower your exposure to high grid tariffs.
- Use Import Limit to limit the power the battery can draw from the grid.
- Use Charge Up Scheduler to control the time the battery is allowed to charge.
