How does our AI planner work for you?

Our goal is simple: to help you get the most out of your energy system. Whether that means maximizing savings, earnings, or efficiency. We use advanced AI to run billions of possibilities (literally: 1.1 x 10¹⁰⁰ scenarios) and choose the one that brings you the most value, based on the latest data available, responding to things like changes in the weather or electricity prices, and adjusting the plan accordingly.

AI planner in a nutshell

What the AI does control:

  • When to charge the battery (and how much power to request)
  • When to discharge the battery (and how much power to request)
  • When to hold the battery (neither charge nor discharge)
  • Whether to export to grid or minimize exports

What the AI does not control:

  • Battery Management System (BMS) self-protection behaviors
  • Inverter safety features and automatic curtailment
  • Physical limitations of your battery (actual charge/discharge rates)
  • EV chargers (they are treated as site consumption)
  • Your appliances and home consumption

The AI planner is powered by

  • Electricity prices - When is energy cheapest to buy? When is it most valuable to sell if allowed to sell?

Important: Our AI planning relies on day-ahead prices for the next 24 hours, which means we need pricing that is known in advance. If your energy package uses retrospective pricing (calculated after the month ends), it cannot be used in our planning model.

  • Your forecasted consumption - How much energy will you need for the next day?

  • Solar production forecast - How much energy will your panels generate based on the weather forecast and past data?

  • Battery state - Current SOC (state of charge), capacity, and charge/discharge capabilities (how much battery can let out / take in in 1 hour)

  • Site-specific settings - Battery protection settings, import limits, available AI commands

NB: The AI is learning from your site every day. The longer it runs, the better it understands your consumption patterns and solar production, leading to increasingly optimized plans. Give it time, and you'll see the value add up.
